We have selected a few favourites for you to try.
BeWILDerwood is a wild and imaginative adventure park with magical treehouses and a hint of intriguing characters, bringing a curious difference to the Norfolk Broads. With zip wires, slides, boat rides and more, it is a very popular attraction – particularly for 2-9 year olds – and less than 10 minutes away in Hoveton.
– Wroxham Barns
The award winning Wroxham Barns has something for everyone with craft workshops, restaurant, Shop, children’s Junior farm, mini funfair, 18 hole mini adventure golf course and lots of hands on activities. Feed and groom the animals or design your own pottery or sand art or just shop for unusual gifts. One of the most popular attractions in Norfolk – and just a good walk from our cottages.
– Happisburgh Owls
For a special and unique experience – book a two hour private viewing and spend a fascinating time with Sandra and her owls at Happisburgh, near the equally amazing Happisburgh Lighthouse. You can hold the owls, have photos taken and learn about their characters. A very popular and memorable trip.
– Hilltop Outdoor Centre
Try an action packed Family Adventure Day at the Hilltop Centre at Sheringham – perfect for over 8’s and their families. Activities on site include high ropes, the Big Zipper, Climbing Wall, Archery, Tree Top Trail and the Air Jump. Half and full days available and booking highly recommended.
– North Norfolk Railway
Best known as “The Poppy Line” this hugely popular Heritage railway has views of stunning coastal countryside as it travels from the lovely seaside village of Sheringham to Holt. There are steam & diesel trains pulling vintage carriages, beautifully preserved stations, dining train experiences and special events.
– Tide & Time Museum
Take a journey into the past in this award winning museum in Great Yarmouth created from an old herring curing works. Wander through a ‘row’ and see inside a fisherman’s home, take the wheel of a coastal Drifter and hear gripping tales of wreck and rescue on the high seas.
We think nowhere else in the country has Norfolk’s diverse range of visitor attractions, with adventure parks, zoos, aquariums, play barns and aerial antics in the forest.
