Access Statement for East View Farm in Norfolk
In this section you will find our Access Statement for East View Farm.
If you have any questions about our Access Statement please don’t hesitate to contact us here…
Please note that through consultation with our inspectors and because of the historic limitations of both cottages, we have chosen not to be part of the NAS (National Accessible Scheme) grading. Therefore, we do not provide hoists, grab rails, shower seats, toilet raisers or any fixtures and fittings required by the NAS.
Owing to the limitations of the historic nature of these buildings themselves, neither cottage is suitable for wheelchair use or for those who depend fully on any kind of mobility aids, particularly in bathrooms. However, we have, in conjunction with the inspector recommendations, provided mosaic floors in our wet room and walk-in shower for added grip, but all tiles and shower trays can be slippery when wet for people of all ages and abilities and guests are advised to take care. We do not allow you to bring in patio, bedroom chairs or similar into the wet room/showers and therefore take risk with unsuitable items.
Your cottage may have tiled/laminate flooring in certain areas and slippers are advised. Stockinged feet increases the risk of slips and trips.
Our cottages are fine for those who are less able and particularly good for those who dislike stairs. However, If you have someone in your party who you feel has needs more than we can provide, we can happily recommend a holiday cottage of equal quality that has a mobility grading and would be more suitable.
Please make sure you have checked with all members of your party about their known or possible needs and then please contact us before you book to make sure we all agree the property is suitable for the needs of all of your party.
Please use the descriptions below to make sure we meet your requirements. All measurements shown are approximate. In both cottages the sockets have been raised to 46cm from the floor and the switches lowered to 107cm from the floor.
